Die Vattenfall Europe New Energy Ecopower GmbH betreibt ein Ersatzbrennstoff-Heizkraftwerk (EBS-HKW) im Überseehafen der Hansestadt Rostock.

Das EBS-HKW Rostock erzeugt Wärme und Strom durch thermische Verwertung stofflich nicht nutzbarer Abfälle, die überwiegend aus Rostock und den umliegenden Landkreisen stammen. Die Anlage ist damit ein wichtiger Baustein für eine umweltschonende Abfallentsorgung in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
