Status of Compliance with Requirements

This website is currently not fully compliant with the requirements of the BITVO M-V, which are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 – Level A.

This assessment is based on a simplified audit conducted on August 8, 2025, using the web-based tool Siteimprove, which was made available by the Monitoring Office for Digital Accessibility of Public Bodies in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to perform automated tests. The non-compliance issues with the requirements of the LBGG M-V and the BITVO M-V are listed below.

Non-accessible content

During an accessibility review, various deficiencies were identified on this website that affect perceivability, understandability, and operability.

1. Non-Accessible Content

During an accessibility review, various issues were identified on this website that affect its perceivability, understandability, and usability.

  1.  Perceivability
  • Insufficient alternative text for images, buttons, and links makes it difficult for blind and visually impaired people to use the site.

  • Missing or unclear labels for form fields prevent accessible interaction.

  • Incorrectly used roles and empty container elements impair the semantic structure of the page.

  • Missing language specifications in the HTML element can lead to incorrect pronunciation by screen readers.

  • Empty headings (e.g., <h1>) cause disorientation when navigating with a screen reader.

    2. Comprehensibility

  • The comprehensibility of the content is compromised by the following issues:

  • Links are not visually distinguishable, as they differ from the rest of the text solely by color.

  • Missing or unclear alternative text for links can cause confusion if their function is not apparent.

  • A missing page title makes it difficult for users to quickly grasp the content or purpose of a page.

    3. Usability

  • Some elements of the website have limited usability:

  • Keyboard navigation is not possible for scrollable elements, which is particularly problematic for people who cannot use a mouse.

  • Links without alternative text limit usability for screen readers (as already mentioned under “Comprehensibility”).

  • The lack of contextual assignment for table cells makes it difficult for screen readers to present data correctly in context.
