The Rostock port is optimal connected with the German motorway network. North-south motorway A19 and west-east motoway A20 provide a direct access to the port.
The operation of the seaport is linked with emissions. ROSTOCK PORT works with the companies located at the seaport to minimize the emissions. A pro-active environmental policy is to make the operation of the seaport compatible with local residents and ecosystems.
As in the past, ROSTOCK PORT GmbH continues to participate in various international cooperation projects in the Baltic Sea region in order, together with various partners, to strengthen and further develop the Rostock port as such and the efficient transport corridors via Rostock and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and with a wide range of interest groups to position.
This once again shows the strength of the business model of Rostock Overseas port as the largest universal port on the German Baltic Sea coast, which allows temporary declines in the handling of individual cargo types due to weaker spells in the overall economic situation to be evened out by growth in other segments.
