The 2026 cruise season in Warnemünde begins on March 29 with the arrival of the AIDAdiva. For this year, 20 cruise lines have registered 162 port calls by 34 cruise ships. “The Rostock-based cruise line AIDA Cruises, for example, will make 65 calls with ship changes at its home port of Warnemünde with the AIDAdiva, the AIDAmar, and the AIDAluna,” says Dr. Gernot Tesch, Managing Director of the port operator ROSTOCK PORT.
This season, three cruise ships will call at the mouth of the Warnow for the first time: the Evrima from the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection on July 18, the Scenic Eclipse II from Scenic Ocean on August 21, and the Seven Seas Grandeur from Regent Seven Seas Cruises on August 23, 2026.
The American cruise ship Sky Princess (gross tonnage: 145,281, length: 330 meters) is the largest passenger ship of the season and is expected in Warnemünde on April 29, June 3, and September 16.
This season, more than half a million domestic and international cruise passengers will embark and disembark in Warnemünde. Since approximately half of all ship calls over the past two years were supplied with shore power during their stay in port, a further increase in shore power usage is expected this year.
With the support of ROSTOCK PORT, the Tourist Office is hosting a two-day Port Party on April 25 and 26 at the Neuer Strom in Warnemünde. The cruise ships AIDAdiva and AIDAmar, operated by the Rostock-based cruise line AIDA Cruises—which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year—will be visiting Rostock’s Baltic Sea resort this weekend.
The 2026 cruise season is expected to end on December 29 with the arrival of the Spirit of Adventure from the British cruise line Saga Cruises.
